This week I participated in an Artist Receptions Event. The event was hosted at the UC Blue Ash Annex building, which I had never been to before the event. I helped set up food, drinks, and I mingled with the guests. I was so amazed when I saw the art gallery display. The art work displayed was absolutely amazing, I had never seen anything like it before. I do not have much of an art background but this event was very interesting.

The Artist Receptions Event had a real impact on me. I was able to meet the artists of the art work on display. They talked about the deeper meaning behind their work and how they created their pieces. I really liked learning about the artists and their work. When I first entered the gallery, I did not know much about the pieces on display. Listening to the artists explain their work really opened my mind, and helped me critically think. This event really opened my eyes and I enjoyed it very much. I hope to participate in future Artist Receptions Events.

I fell that I was also able to make an impact on the event. When the artists entered the gallery I was able to speak with them about their work. When I was speaking with one artist I could tell she was very passionate about her work and art. We talked about every art piece that she had on display in the gallery. I could tell she enjoyed my enthusiasm and my eagerness to learn about art.

My fourth week of classes went well. I am learning so much in my Spanish class, I really enjoy learning a new language. I am thinking about participating in the Study Abroad Program this coming summer. I would love the opportunity to travel the world and experience a new culture.
