Week 2 1.20.19 - 1.26.19
The second week of Spring semester went well. I am still trying to develop a new daily routine. I am enjoying all of my classes and professors. This week I was able to participate in the English Conversation Group meeting. I really enjoyed this club last semester, I missed going when I was on winter break. It was so nice being able to see everyone and reconnect. These meeting always have an impact on me. I love meeting new people and learning about them.
I feel like I was able to make an impact this week during my welcome desk shift. I got a handful of calls from prospective students who were so thankful for my help. It makes me feel good when I know I have helped someone. Many students feel lost when trying to start college, it can be a confusing process. I am so glad I was able to help some prospective students navigate the process, and get the information they needed.
I am currently taking an Intro to Education class, to meet a historical perspectives requirement for my degree. Even though I am not an education major, it is my favorite class. My professor is so upbeat, fun, and nice, she keeps the class interesting. I thought I would struggle with this class, because it is a night class and not related to my major. I am currently working on my observation hours for this class, I hope to be able to job shadow soon!
